Aler accommodations, few and poorly maintained. An apartment is assigned "but there are 50 on the waiting list"

Codogno (Lodi) 31 May 2025 – “Degradation of the Aler buildings and few social housing for the needy” : Codogno insieme 2.0 urges the council . The opposition council group, through Rosanna Montani , has submitted a question regarding the collaboration between the Municipality of Codogno and Aler Pavia-Lodi and the assignment of new housing with the 2025 ranking. “We ask why the Municipality will make available only one accommodation, owned by it, for the new 2025 tender, compared to 50 people who have applied. This, compared to the 14 available but in need of repair . Furthermore, during our recent inspection of the Aler houses on Viale Cairo, we found situations of serious criticality, such as dirt, abandoned waste, degradation of some common spaces. We therefore ask if the agreement for the control of external spaces by the Local Police is still in force and there is confirmation. To date, despite our official request to Aler, we have not yet received a response regarding the number of available and unassigned housing in Codogno and we ask the administration if it knows this data” underlined Montani.

Councilor Raffaella Novati's response was immediate : "Of these 14 apartments, 2 will be assigned and 5 come from forfeiture procedures, where some properties need extraordinary maintenance and in some houses the tenants have left everything. The offices are doing everything they can to have them cleared, first in an amicable manner, then forcibly. It is therefore difficult to evaluate how many apartments are available. Two are certainly available. The ranking, however, remains active all year and if other apartments are available, we will assign them. Like last year, when we had 4 available but, by the end of the year, 6 were assigned. Plus another two Sap, 8 in total".
